Position Overview

This role is responsible for successful delivery of PLM and Quality Management (QM) process transformation, change management initiatives, and support of production systems where assigned.


  • As part of the IT PLM, Quality and Regulatory Team, the Business System Analyst are responsible for:
  • Serve as a PLM team member supporting the implementation of SAP Recipe Development in 9 global locations
  • Contribute to the design of the PLM / SAP RD / QM S4 HANA design plan for a future roll out
  • Provide guidance on best practice, work with the business on their processes to leverage standard functionalities to contribute to building a roadmap
  • Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels
  • Works closely with your peers/leadership and business to understand current processes to provide configuration expertise, in SAP and other designated core systems
  • Develops in PLM area functional designs that address business requirements and leverage strategic IT solutions more precisely in EH&S, packaging, SDS (Safety Datasheet)
  • Develops in QM area functional designs that address business requirements and leverage strategic IT solutions in SAP QM and Global Batch Traceability
  • Develop functional specifications for system changes
  • Support the governance model for enhancements to IT solution portfolio - focused approach but ensures compliance with the business goals and objectives
  • Keep up-to-date with best practice methodology, keep informed of new concepts/technology around the area and translate to business
  • Provide an understanding of the regulatory environment and its constraint
  • Review and establish business processes from IT standpoint to mitigate risks in R&D and QM areas
  • Understanding of product characteristics, ingredient, allergen, regulatory information the person must be in a position to participate in a functional discussion with the business
  • Understanding of quality assurance and quality control business practices such as compliance to industry standards through auditing, inspections, traceability and customer expectations enabling participation in functional discussions
  • Formulate and define application scope and objectives and devise/modify procedures to solve business problems
  • Development of standards and procedures

Experience & Skill Requirements

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience working in a PLM environment at a consumer industrial food company, pharmacy or related industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Experience with Planning and Executing PLM Program Deployments (a plus) with using solutions SAP-PLM, SAP RD or similar tools required
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems supporting business processes to meet industry standards (SQF, BRC, GFSI) and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and team working skills with prior experience in working in a global structure
  • Strong interpersonal skills- needs to interact and influence up to a Senior Director level and Vendors of software solutions or service providers
  • Fluent in English
  • SAP QM, SAP MM, Recipe and BOM expertise desirable
  • SAP EH&S, RD implementation and support experience is required
  • Experience with S4 HANA
  • Experience with SAP configuration is required
  • Clear expertise in material master data from characteristic, regulatory, food technical, quality assurance standpoint
  • Strong communication and ability to bring the business to use standard processes and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in high pressure, sensitive situations
  • Solid interaction, presentation, negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset
